PURPOSE:To prevent mis-detection of a still picture as a moving picture due to the pattern of a picture by applying time spatial filter processing to a moving detection signal. CONSTITUTION:A moving detection signal detected based on an inter-frame difference signal of a digitized television signal is inputted and a time spatial filter 2 uses the both to apply filter processing in a direction of time and/or space. Moreover, when an output signal of the time spatial filter 2 is larger than a preset value, a control means 4 controls the signal so that a switch means 3 outputs an output signal of the time spatial filter means 2 and when the output signal is smaller than the preset value, the means 4 controls the signal so that the moving detection signal is outputted. Thus, when the output signal of the time spatial filter means 2 is larger than a value, the circuit is of feedback type configuration and the information of movement of the picture element over a wide range is referenced to detect the presence of the movement in the picture element on the screen. Thus, even to a fast movement of a picture, the movement is detected accurately. |
