PURPOSE: To bring out engine performance fully even during the cold seasons by surrounding exhaust pipes, including their starting end portions, with a plurality of cover members of a-structure such that they are combined in the lateral direction of vehicle width, and guiding air in a defined hot air chamber into the intake duct of an air cleaner by means of an air tube. CONSTITUTION: A first cover member 12, a second cover member 18, and a third cover member 23 define a hot air chamber while surrounding three high- temperature exhaust pipes 8 leading to an exhaust port. The hot air chamber, using partition walls 14, 20, approaches and surrounds the starting end portions of the exhaust pipes 8 where temperature is highest, and is formed as a cell where the leakage of hot air is small because of the intervention of seal rubber 27 between the cover members and the bottom surface of an engine. Therefore, the heat released from the engine, usually blown away by running winds, is not dissipated wastefully but can be guided effectively to an air cleaner via an air conduction hose 17 as hot air. Therefore, the atomization of fuel in a carburetor 6 is promoted even at low temperatures during the cold seasons, and engine performance can be fully brought out. |
