<p>PURPOSE:To prevent short-circuit of a terminal due to solder in the case of mounting on a mounting board and to eliminate peeling, removal of a terminal due to an adding force at the time of adjusting a resistance value by so forming a metal plate to be engaged with a pair of protrusions as not to cover the opposed sides of the protrusions of an insulating board as a pair of metal terminals, and forming both an intermediate terminal and a pair of terminals of metal terminals. CONSTITUTION:A substantially circular-arc-shaped variable resistor pattern 2 and a pair of electrode patterns 3a, 3b connected to both ends of the resistor pattern 2 are formed on the surface 2a of an insulating base 1. The patterns 3a, 3b are formed of a conductive material having a low resistance value, and so formed as to extend to a pair of protrusions 1b, 1c provided on the base 1. U-shaped sectional metal terminals 4a, 4b are engaged with the protrusions 1b, 1c. Inclined surfaces T are formed at the corners of the board 1 in its thickness direction at the protrusions 1b, 1c to facilitate engaging of the terminals 4a, 4b. A slider 5 is formed of metal which is difficult to be soldered to a stainless steel, etc., and electrically connected to the intermediate terminal 6 made of metal.</p> |
