<p>A housing 2 for vehicle light units, especially for goods vehicles where damage to the light units is common, is connected to the vehicle 14 via a pivoting mechanical linkage 4 so that the housing is movable relative to the vehicle, thus avoiding damage to the light unit 16 upon impact. The mechanical linkage may comprise a plurality of pivot points to increase flexibility. The housing may include a grill or perforated plate 26 through which the light is visible.
