FIELD: medicine, applicable for internal treatment of purulent inflammations in otorhinolaryngology and other fields of medicine. SUBSTANCE: the unit performs activation of regenerative processes due to suppression of the whole pathogenic flora of the focus, fungi and viruses inclusive, and activation of tissue and humoral immunity; the unit reduces the dose of action of ozone on the organism and environment down to the safe value. The therapeutic unit has laser 1 with power source 2, light conduit 5 installed at the inlet end of the laser, duct for air supply to irradiation zone 6 that is connected through chamber 3 to high-pressure line 9, and duct 7 used to discharge products from the irradiation zone; introduced in chamber 3 are high-voltage electrodes 12 connected to the outputs of power source 2 of laser 1 that provide for generation of ozone. In addition, the unit uses ozone decontamination unit 4 made in the form of a hollow vessel, with catalyst 14 of ozone decontamination, for instance manganous oxide, applied onto its internal surface; decontamination unit 4 is connected to the outlet of duct 7 used to discharge products from the irradiation zone. Arrangement of two high-voltage electrodes 12 in chamber 3 that are connected to the laser power source provides for generation of ozone; and mutual action of two medicinal factors - laser ultraviolet radiation and ozonotherapy - ensures bactericidal , general and local stimulating effects, sets in action the organism protective forces, reduces the time of patient treatment. The use of the decontamination unit accelerates the process of ozone decomposition to oxygen and reduces the ozone concentration at the outlet down to the safe value. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment of patients with lasting inflammatory processes in the ear and upper respiratory tracts, enhanced safety for patients and attending personnel. 2 cl, 3 dwg |
