The ligament has a main branch (11) which is linear and carries an anchor (12) at one end. The anchors retain the ligament on a respective bone. the other end of the ligament has a fixing ring (13) for mounting on a second bone. The ligament has a secondary lateral branch (14) which has a second fixing ring (15) at its end. The secondary branch can also be linear, but may have a smaller length than the main branch.
