The brake pads retraction unit (2) of a disc brake outside its braking periods uses a deformation of bi-metallic washers (2) inserted in the back of the pads (2) and which bear against the brake operating yoke (1,4,6) so that on braking, when excessive heating is generated, the washers deform elastically. During the non-braking mode, the washers retract thus forming a clearance (e1) between the pads (3) and the operating yoke of the brake unit. |
