The exchanger has a fluid casing (1) with a tubular wall (2) across which extends at least one transverse wall (4) defining an internal compartment. Multiple parallel tubes (4) each communicate with a compartment of the exchanger via an opening (3) in the tubular wall. Each transverse wall is introduced into the tubular wall via its open end, to be positioned and retained by deformation of the tubular wall inwardly towards the interior of the exchanger. The deformation is formed at least essentially in the region of the length of the wall opposite to the partition.
