Cold coating for road surfaces

Method for making cold coating for road surfaces is disclosed in which road surface is treated with mixture of aqueous bitumen emulsion; hard rock mixture comprising crushed granules of size 0/D, with D <= 14 mm, notably 2-6 mm and 6-10 mm; and sand of granular size 0-2 mm with fine particles of size <80 mu m. Method comprises replacing at least some of the fine natural particles in the sand with "imported" particles of dimensions <5 mu m.
