The shelving has uprights (1,2) assembled with cross bars. At least one rod (4), to support a shelf, extends between two uprights. Each upright has blind holes (6,7) to support the ends of the rod. One upright (1) has a row of holes that communicate with the blind holes and allow the rods to be put in place. The hole is crescent shaped, curved downwards, and its lower ends form the blind holes (6). The other upright (2) has two parallel rows of blind holes (7) that are regularly distributed.
