A tyre having an H/S aspect ratio of at least 0.50 and including a radial carcass reinforcement (1) and a crown reinforcement (3) consisting of at least two working crown plies (31, 33) made of non-stretchable metal cables, where the cables of adjacent plies lie in intersecting directions and are at an angle of 10-45 DEG to the circumferential direction, as well as an additional axially continuous ply (32) consisting of metal reinforcing elements that are substantially parallel to the circumferential direction. Said ply (32) is arranged above the working ply (31) that is radially the closest to the carcass reinforcement (1), and the ratio of its linear elongation rigidity per unit width to the sum of the linear elongation rigidities of the other carcass reinforcement plies is of 0.35-0.70. |
