The invention concerns a method and device for extruding material or mixtures of materials, in particular waste. The method proposed is characterized by the following steps: the materials are fed into an extrusion press; in the extrusion press, the materials are fed towards an aperture unit and compressed; just before reacting the aperture unit, the materials are blended by a cutter and/or breaker unit moving at right angles to the direction of flow of the materials, thus leading to further compression of the materials and the materials are extruded through the aperture unit. The device proposed is characterized by the following items of equipment located one after the other in sequence: at least one worm-type compression; a cutter and/or breaker unit which moves essentially at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the compression unit and an aperture unit. |
