<p>The mobile milking parlour has four stalls (1), each constructed across the width of the trailer. Two stalls are side by side in the central portion and the remaining two are situated one each end, the space (2) between each pair being used by the cowman. Cows enter stalls selectively up a ramp (9) which can be raised or lowered, and a feed trough (5) at the other end is similarly raised or lowered (20) to allow the animals to leave. Each trough is supplied from a receptacle (6) between stalls, the supply being controlled through valves. All operations are cycled automatically using a cam controlled hydraulic system.</p> |
