The device for length adjustment of scaffolding frames or upright supports, for instance with ceiling form boards which are lowered before form dismantling, involves profile units led against each other, one with a wedge, adjustable sideways, supporting the other. Support for this profile unit (2) is provided by a bolt (10) passing through it and force-lock supported on the wedge. This can be led in oblique slits (9) in two superimposed side-pieces of a box-shaped slide (5) with two interfacing slit guideways (4) to hold the edges of a panel bearing the outer profile unit (1). The adjustable wedge permits rapid lowering by a slight hammer tap.
