Gas meter for variable gas temperature

The gas meter has a measuring system (11) rotated by a measuring shaft (14). A temperature compensation system (18) is connected between the shaft (14) and the counting mechanism (16). A temperature correction value is added to the measurement value, depending on the gas temperature. The revolutions of the measuring shaft essentially are not influenced by this. The temperature compensation system includes a differential drive (22), which is connected between the measuring shaft and an input shaft (21) of the counting mechanism, and the revolutions of the input shaft are altered depending on the gas temperature, compared to those of the measuring shaft (14).
