The device conveys signals from a source to a signal sink, using a symmetrical coupling device located along a signal channel path. Alternatively there can be a coupler with the input and output circuits terminated in a reflection free resistor matching the circuit characteristic impedance. In one embodiment, approximately equal and parallel conductive surfaces (8,9) on a holder (6) attached to one of the moving parts, are capacitively coupled to their counterparts (10,11) on a holder (7) attached to the other part. The degree of coupling and the quality of transmission remain constant for movements in one particular direction, but for all other movements there is considerable variation in transmission quality. |
