The displacement sensor has a guide unit (20), with an operating element guided in the guide unit against the restoring force of a spiral spring (70). The guide unit has the shape of a cylinder provided with a central bore (21), with at least one cylinder casing opening (23), running generally axially to the central bore. Which in the region of the cylindrical casing opening, includes an off centre reception surface (24), running parallel to the longitudinal axis.
