The stirrup bolt has its two arms (16,18) joined by a V shaped bolt (20) which has a rounded base (26). The first component (30) of two components (30,32) at right angles to each other has a second component (32) on its end surface. One of three holes (34,36,38) is in the end piece of the first component and has one stirrup of the stirrup bolt (10) going through it. The two arms each go through holes (36,38) in the second component (32). The holes through which the bolt passes have countersunk parts (35,35') with an angle of roughly 60 degrees.
