The pre-heating press (4) has a bottom (5) and top (7) heated press-plate with an air-conditioning distributor (6), forming an air-conditioning press-chamber (9) for the mat of pressed material (M). The processing air generator (1) has a heat-exchanger (10) for heating the processing air, and the steam generator (2) has a quantity flow regulator valve (11) and steam pressure regulator valve (12). The processing air and steam from the processing air generator and steam generator are introduced into a mixing section (3) from which lead two supply pipes (13,14) opening into the air conditioning ante-chambers (6,8) and each containing a regulating or control valve(15,16). The damp air discharged from the mats of pressed material is drawn off by a fan (17).
