The container has walls, floor and lid formed with a coating with a surface resistance quoted as less than 1 kohm. The plastic of the walls, etc. and of the antistatic coating is high pressure polyethylene. The wall thickness is from two to five mm., but preferably three mm. The thickness of the coating is between 0.2 and 0.5 mm. The container is made by extrusion with subsequent spraying of the coatings.
