The method to stick two pieces of tape together, e.g. the cassette leader, to the magnetic tape, in making a video cassette involves holding a tape on a pair of successive tape guides (42,44) and then cutting the tape between them, to allow the first and second tape end sections on the first and second tape end sections on the first and second tape guides (42,44) to be formed into the first tape. It then involves adhering first or second end section to a second tape.
