The invention concerns a device for applying magnetic dispersions to non-magnetic substrates, the device being optimised by a magnet which is disposed opposite the discharge slot of an extrusion caster and is covered at an angle by a soft iron bar. The inlet edge of the soft iron bar is disposed practically opposite the discharge slot. A curved guide member in front of the soft iron bar improves the sliding behaviour of the substrate during application.
