<p>PURPOSE:To rewrite a display content only by a light source by receiving a light having different wavelength by a reversible discoloring member of a card display unit to be colored or erased, thereby rewriting the content. CONSTITUTION:A display unit 21 of an IC card 20 secured by burying or the like in a card base 13 is made of a reversibly discoloring member such as photochromic material to be colored or erased upon reception of a light having different wavelength to display specific information of a memory in a semiconductor module 11. A photochromic material 22 is sealed in a space 24 interposed between the base 13 and a transparent sheet 23 together with transparent binder. When this part is radiated with a light having different wavelength from an upper transparent sheet side to form a predetermined pattern responsive to the content of the memory, it can be erased or colored. The photochromic material to be reversibly discolored only by the radiation of the light used here is colored, for example, in a visible range by the radiation of an ultraviolet ray, erased by the radiation of a visible light, and this can be repeated.</p> |
