<p>The adaptor (1) for securing the leads, or a tube enclosing them, of a suspended lamp to the ceiling, consists of a circular block made in two halves (2, 3) which grip the tube between them. One half has two pegs (8) projecting from it at the joint line which fit into corresponding holes in the other half. At each end of the joint line, which is a diameter are two inserts (6) fitting into recesses and which also have pegs fitting into holes in the two halves. In a further central recess (11) in each half fits a sliding locking jaw (4) with serrations across it to fit against the tube. This is forced inwards by a spring (5) behind it.</p> |
