PURPOSE:To easily form a partial support structure, to lower no elasticity even by reducing a thickness and to improve a support capability by providing hard parts which are formed in and integrally with a plate-like soft part formed by foaming a raw resin liquid in a mold and which have the same quality as the soft part and a resin density higher than it. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a cushion for a chair having an integrally formed seat and back, a plate-like elastic member 1 is manufactured in such a way that a soft part 2 which is formed by foaming a raw urethane resin liquid in a mold is formed integrally therein with hard parts 3 which have the same quality as the soft part 2 and a higher resin density than the soft part part 2. The soft part 2 is made of molded urethane foam. The hard part 3 is formed by impregnating a foaming material obtained by processing a slab urethane foam material having the same quality as the soft part 2 with the raw urethane resin liquid. Thus, the cushion becomes partially hard. Thus, a structure in which the parts of the cushion at both sides of the waist and the back of a user are not liable to be elastically deformed, specifically, a lumber support or side support structure can be obtained, go that the user can feel more comfortable when seated. |
