Digital telecommunication system with transition from first to second carrier frequency

The system uses several time slots, each of which accommodates a predetermined number of information bits. The information signal is transmitted in at least one time slot. The system has a base station with several transmitters, each transmitting on a different carrier frequency. All transmitters maintain a time synchronisation at one frame plane, and the base station can transfer information signals from a first to second carrier frequency. A remote receiver detects the transition from the first to the second carrier frequency and obtains data on the second carrier frequency, data reception and use of time base synchronisation.
