An electric heat insulating pot comprising a tank (1) wherein a space (1c) formed by a glass inner container (1a) and a glass outer container (1b) is almost vacuum, and at least one small power heater (2). The electric heat insulating pot of the present invention has superior heat retaining property and is capable of safely retaining hot water with small power using a small power heater. The illuminating action of the lamp (2) heater enables observation of the content stored in the pot, with a further effect being clear indication of its presence by its own illumination even in the sheer darkness.
