PURPOSE:To uniformize the discharge performance of each orifice by providing a multiarray bubble jet-type liquid ejection recording head with flow passages which are not necessarily of the same length. CONSTITUTION:Recording liquid is supplied by capillarity from a liquid chamber 16 to each flow passage, and therefore, the supply feasibility of the liquid depends on the location of an ink inflow port 13 from an ink cartridge in the liquid chamber 16. Then a flow passage, to which the liquid is not easily supplied, is shortened to realize smooth supply. For instance, the l (or the length of a flow passage l0) of a flow passage near the center is prolonged, and a flow passage in the neighborhood of the end is shortened, when the inflow port 13 is located in the center of the liquid chamber 16. In addition, if the inflow port 13 is arranged at the corner of the liquid chamber 16 instead of being set in the center, l (or the length l0 of the flow passage) is to be determined depending on a distance from the inflow port 13 to an inlet of the flow passage. That is, the l of the flow passage near the inflow port 13 is prolonged and that of the flow passage distance from the inflow port is shortened.
