PURPOSE:To enable the determination of a residue with a handy measuring device by detecting a volumetric change in a latent heat storage material indirectly to determine a heat storage residue based on a relationship between the result, of detection and a phase change in the latent heat storage material within a container. CONSTITUTION:In a latent heat storage body 1, a latent heat storage material with a specific gravity smaller than a heat medium fluid is sealed into a planar container made of a rigid material together with air. A pressure sensor 6 is mounted on a heat storage body 1 on the highest stage selected properly from among the heat storage bodies 1 aligned to measure a internal pressure. As a fixed correlationship is held between a volumetric change due to the coagulation of the latent heat storage material within the heat storage body 1 and a change in the internal pressure therein 1, a heat storage residue of the heat storage body 1 can be determined depending a detection pressure of the sensor 6 thereby enabling the determination of the heat storage residue with a handy measuring device such as pressure sensor. |
