Combination desiccant and heat source

A porous polymer material mixed with a drying agent composes a desiccant which may be used proximate to a heat source or thermally cycling device, such as an automobile lamp (28, 40). Heat generated by the heat source regenerates the drying agent in the porous polymer material. The desiccant material may be formed into a variety of shapes for ease of placing or affixing the material proximate to the heat source.
