PURPOSE:To generate the pitch patterns approximate to the pitch patterns possessed by natural voice by selecting the pitch patterns prepd. according to the kinds of the sound elements of the mora at which the level of the pitch frequency changes in synthesizing words. CONSTITUTION:The pitch patterns in the mora before and after the position where the level of the pitch frequency changes are stored for each of the kinds of the sound elements in the position where the level of the pitch frequency changes from 'low' to 'high' in a rising pitch frequency memory section 14. The pitch patterns in the mora before and after the position where the level of the pitch frequency changes are stored for each of the kinds of the sound elements in the position where the level of the pitch frequency changes from 'high' to 'low' in a falling pitch frequency memory section 15. The pitch patterns sent from the rising pitch frequency memory section 14 and the falling pitch pattern memory section 15 are connected to form the pitch patterns of the words or clauses in a pitch pattern generating section 16. The pitch patterns of the generated words or clauses are outputted from a pitch pattern output terminal 17. |
