FIELD: mechanical engineering; metal working. SUBSTANCE: sectional grinding wheel has housing in form of hollow cylindrical. Blocks made up of nonwoven material plates is glued to outer cylindrical surface of housing. Plate are pressed, impregnated with inorganic resin containing abrasive grains. Plates in blocks are arranged along screw lines relative to axis of wheel housing so that bases of blocks form screw surfaces. Formula for choosing angle of helix of screw line depending on diameter, width of wheel and number of plates in wheel is given in description of invention. Up to half of plates uniformly arranged in each block contain 30 - 50% less number of abrasive grains as compared with other plates. balancing members are installed on inner surface of wheel housing. Balancing members are made in form of rings. Larger and smaller weights move in circular and radial grooves of rings. EFFECT: increased capacity, improved quality of machining and serviceability of grinding wheel at abrasive finishing of materials. |
