PURPOSE:To reduce operator's processing load by executing image processing for clipping and extracting an image part highly accurately only by the instruction and the input of an including line surrounding an image part to be segmented. CONSTITUTION:Natural images photographed by a TV camera 1 are respectively stored in a 1st and a 2nd image storing parts 2, 3. Then, the image data are quantized respectively to 16 colors about R, G and B at the color appearance frequency of 4096 colors. The quantized color information is stored in a storing part 5. Then, the 1st natural image is displayed on a display device 11 and supplied to an image area to be clipped in the natural image. The clipping is executed by specifying coordinates by a coordinate input device 7 and surrounding a human body alpha by an including line beta. When the including line betais inputted, a mask image forming device 6 is started, color connecting areas in the including line beta are found out about respective colors as mask images by referring a color-quantized image stored in the color-quantized image storing part 5, segmented images are formed and then composed by an image composer 9. |
