PURPOSE:To increase the resistance to separation performance and improve durability by forming the carcass ply of a radial tire with a polyester cord whose air transmissibility per cord has a specific value. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic radial tire has at least one carcass ply that is arranged with a cord angle of almost 90 deg. for the equatorial surface of the tire from one end to the other end that are separately hooked with a pair of bead cores. In addition, the tire also has a belt that reinforces the crown section of this carcass ply. In this case, the carcass ply is comprised with a polyester cord whose air transmissibity per cord exceeds 1.10X10<-3>kg/cm<2>/h. As a result, the adhesive force of the polyester cord with a rubber section is increased and the resistance to separation performance is improved. |
