The direction finder is fitted with an interface which receives a measure of the approximate attitude of the sun, and is fixed to a mobile engine of the type which actuates a linear strip (1) of photodetectors set at an angle with respect to a slit between the strip and the sun. The direction finder has a first sun-sight with several parallel slits (3,4,5). Each slit is used to detect sectors (A,C1,C2) of the global sight field of a first angular position to be measured. The first solar sight has, in addition, a computer which receives both data about the insolation of the photodetector strip and also data from the interface indicating in which sector of the sight field that the sun is located. From this data, the computer deduces the angular position of the sun in the global sight field.
|
