Apparatus for removing liquid from an air-liquid separator

A cyclone separator 10 separates air from liquid, which accumulates at the bottom of the separator and is continuously removed by being drawn into a rotating chamber 38 equipped with a stationary pitot tube 60. The liquid forms an annular mass round the periphery of chamber 38 and the inner end of tube 60 faces circumferentially to draw off the liquid from the chamber. The top of chamber 38 makes a sliding seal (54) with housing 40. A filter 68 and duct 66 recycle air from chamber 38 to main air outlet 14, should any air reach the chamber. Radial vanes (56) on the chamber ceiling assist the flow of liquid from the separator into the chamber.
