MEMORY CARD CONNECTOR AND METHOD OF USE

Disclosed is a memory card and connector assembly which has a spring positioned in recesses in the lateral longitudinal elements of the frame which impart additional forward longitudinal force to the card as the card passes over those recesses to allow the card to be ejected to a distance where it is easily gripped and withdrawn by the user. The invention also includes a method for ejecting a memory card from a computer in which the memory card is first moved forward and out of engagement with the connector to an initial distance after which it is moved still further forward by an automatically activated resilient device. A method of ejecting a memory card by means of this assembly is also disclosed.
