PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively make judgement as to whether the whole of an area is ventilated well or poorly. SOLUTION: Paper sheets or cloth pieces impregnated with water are spread all over the base 4 of a wind tunnel 2, thereby forming a wet surface 6, and a model 16 as a test object is installed on the base 4. Then, before generating an air current 8 within the wind tunnel 2, the gross weight of the base 4 is measured with an electronic balance 10. Thereafter, the air current 8 is generated and after the lapse of the preset time, the gross weight of the base 4 is again measured with the electronic balance 10. Also, a personal computer 12 calculates a difference between both weights and finds a water evaporation volume. In this case, the water evaporation volume increases according to the improvement of a ventilation level. Thus, judgement can be made as to whether the whole of an area is ventilated well or poorly, on the basis of the water evaporation volume. |
