PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the dimensional stability after a regenerative process by a method wherein in a preprocess for mechanical treatment of a pressure pad, a hot and pressure process and a regenerative process, in combination, which are equivalent to a molding process of composite material parts, are applied to the pressure pad several times to remote residual stress of the pressure pact. SOLUTION: A pressure pad 2 composed of pclytetrafluoroethylene is molded into a predetermined shape. Next, the density and desired design dimension of the molded pressure pad 2 are measured and heat and pressure are applied to the pad 2 by a hot and pressure method equivalent to hot and pressure molding for composite material parts W by means of a press. The density and desired design dimension of the pressure pad 2 molded in such a manner are measured again and the pad is subjected to a regenerative heating process and the density and dimension of the pad 2 is measured. Combination of these processes is repeated several times to remove residual stress of the pad 2 and the pad 2 is precisely machined to obtain a final product and put into dies 1a, 1b for use. |
