PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester composition having excellent slipperiness, surface-uniformity and abrasion resistance and suitable for magnetic use, photographic use and plate-making use, etc., by including uniform monodispersed polymer particles composed of two components having specific average particle diameters. CONSTITUTION:A polyester consisting of a bifunctional acid component composed mainly of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and one or more kinds of glycol components is compounded, using a vent-type molding machine, with (A) crosslinked polymer particles having an average particle diameter of >=0.01mum and <0.1mum and (B) crosslinked polymer particles having an average particle diameter of 0.1-5mum in the form of a slurry in water and/or an organic compound having a boiling point of <=200 deg.C. The crosslinked polymer of the particle is preferably styrene-vinylbenzene copolymer, etc., and the amount of the component B is 0.0001-20wt.% (preferably 0.01-5wt.%) based on the polyester. The amount of the component A is 0.01-5wt.% (preferably 0.05-2wt.%) based on the component B. |
