PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain fiber products for prevention of hospital infection, excellent in proliferation inhibition of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) by application of colloidal free sulfur to a fiber product at least partially containing cellulosic fibers. SOLUTION: Yarns or fabrics at least partially containing cellulosic fibers such as cotton or viscose rayon are dipped in a sodium sulfide aqueous solution in which sulfur is dissolved, squeezed, dipped in an acid solution, for example, of sulfuric acid. They are taken out from the acid solution, when the liberation of hydrogen sulfide ceases, whereby the objective fiber products containing 0.01-20wt.% of colloidal elemental sulfur and excellent in proliferation inhibition of MRSA. |
