PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten, time required to complete printing after signal reception as much as possible by starting a printing engine part based on printing data fed from a host device at a specific cycle or specific time. SOLUTION: When a thermal fixing unit provided in the printing engine part 15 is started at the specific time of giving the printing instruction from the host device, the startup time data retract to the heating time or above required for it to reach from a temperature in a standby condition to a temperature capable of executing a thermal fixing-operation is stared a time storage means 6. When time data outputted form a time measuring means 12 reaches the standby time data in the time storage means 6, the printing engine part 15 is started, and when the printing operation of the printing engine part 15 is finished, the printing engine part 15 is controlled so as to be brought into a standby condition. Thus, since the temperature reaches to the thermal fixing temperature at the time when the print data is fed from the host device, the printing operation can be started immediately after the print data is received. |
