PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mount antenna for a wide band and two frequencies without degrading gain and without enlarging the shapes, and to provide the communication equipment using this antenna. SOLUTION: This antenna is constituted so that, on the surface of the base body 1 composed of a dielectric or magnetic material, two radiation electrodes 2 and 3 having different resonance frequencies and a feeder electrode 4 are formed, and on the rear surface, a ground electrode (broken line part) is mainly formed. The one ends of the radiation electrodes 2 and 3 compose open ends 2a and 3a and the other ends are connected to the ground electrode (broken line part). Thus, an electromagnetic field is combined via the capacitance formed at the gaps g1 and g2 between the feeder electrode 4 and the opening ends 2a and 3a parts. |
