PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for retrieving an identity recognizing identification from a safe concentrated depository. SOLUTION: This is a method and a device to which a directory service agent can access in order to retrieve, recognize and use an information to confirm the source of an electronic message. In the method, a connection start message is transmitted for establishing communication between a directory user agent and the directory service agent (300). Then, a directory is searched for obtaining the identity recognizing identification (302) and the identification is take out (304). Then, the taken-out identification is transmitted to the directory user agent (306). At this time, a step for searching the directory for the identity recognizing identification may be added in accordance with a search reference message in the connection start message. |
