CLIP OPERATING DEVICE FOR SURGERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further minimize the size of an excision hole with easier application of a clip by providing the subject device with a jaw control mechanism to cause a grip at the extreme tip to be accepted or deformed according to the opening or closing operation of a handle. SOLUTION: A clip applicator 10 is provided with a handle part 12 having a rotatable or mobile handle 14 and a fixed handle 16 to allow the driving of a jaw assembly 18 through a long-sized body part 20 by operating the handles 14 and 16. A link part where the body part 20 is linked to the handle part 12 is provided with a rotary collar 22 having a vertical groove to remotely vary the direction of a jaw assembly 18 at a part subject to surgery. The jaw assembly 18 has first and second jaw parts 24a and 24b side by side and the jaw parts 24a and 24b are made movable between a substantial access layout at a substantial positional relationship to let them approach each other and a separation layout to separate them enough for accepting of a clip for surgery.
