<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper storing device having excellent space efficiency, by folding up the end guide of an upstream side tray when large size papers are stored so as to store the papers across two trays, and independently storing papers on each tray when small size papers are stored. SOLUTION: When A4 size papers are stored, an upper stage right side end guide 13 is stood up. Papers to be discharged are discharged on an upper stage right side vertically moving tray 15 under a condition that a main gate 9 opens a carrying pass in the direction of an upper stage storage part 10, and an upper stage gate 12 closes the carrying pass. When a right side tray is filled up, the upper stage gate 12 is opened, and a following paper is passed through an upper stage bypass transport 11 and discharged on an upper stage left side tray 16. When A3 side papers are stored, right side end guides 13, 20 at upper and lower stages are folded up. The upper stage gate 12 is used while the carrying pass is closed, and the papers are stacked up by being spread over from the right side discharge port of the upper stage storage part 10 to both right/left vertically moving trays 15, 16.</p> |
