<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the centroid of a club head lower and make it possible to increase a carry by providing a golf club head with a hollow body and a neck having the sp. gr. heavier than the sp. gr. of the material of this body, fixing part of the neck to the lower part on the heel side of the body and exposing the parts exclusive thereof of the neck to the outside of the body. SOLUTION: The golf club head is composed of the metallic body 10 which is internally formed hollow, a sole 12 which forms the bottom of the body 10 and the neck 14 which consists of the metal heavier in the sp. gr. than the body 10. A cylindrical part 16 opening to the lower position of the heel side (the side near a player) is integrally formed in the body 10 and the neck 14 is partly inserted into the inside space of this cylindrical part 16. The insertion part of the neck 14 is fixed to the cylindrical part 16 of the body 10. The neck 14 is formed to a shape bent in midway and the part from its one end to the mid-way up to the bending point is inserted and fixed into the cylindrical part 16 of the body 10. The parts exclusive thereof of the neck 14 are exposed to the outside on the heel side of the body 10 and the exposed front end is positioned upward.</p> |
