PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly perform data communication by stably performing radio communication having directionality by providing a holding stand on which a communication device of a communication object is placed to the front of a radio signal transmitting and receiving part transmitting and receiving a signal. SOLUTION: A printer 1 has an infrared communication device due to infrared rays built therein and performs infrared communication between the printer and a PDA 4. Printing data is transmitted from the PDA 4 and the printing data is received by the printer to be printed out. Further, the printer 1 transmits status data to the PDA 4. The holding stand 3 for placing the PDA 4 is provided to the front surface of the I/R rays emitting and receiving window 2 provided to the front of the printer 1. When the holding stand 3 is drawn out, the knob of the switch 7 attached to the printer 1 is pushed to be closed. By this constitution, radio communication having directionality can be stably performed and data by radio can be accurately transmitted and received. |
