PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely set the only single recording power with all of information recording and reproducing devices even if these devices vary, to increase the number of erasable times and to improve the reliability of fecording. SOLUTION: Information is test recorded in the patterns consisting of unrecorded parts and recorded parts while the recording power P is successively changed. The test-recorded information is reproduced and the recording signal amplitude m corresponding to the recording power P is monitored. A standardized inclination g (P) is then determined by the equation g(P)=(Δm/m)/(ΔP/P), ΔP: the micro-change rate near P, Δm: the micro-charge rate corresponding to ΔP near m. The optimum recording power is determined and set by evaluating the excess and shortage of the recording power based on g(P). |
