PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a yellow coloring diazo thermosensitive recording material which improves preservability (crude preservability) before recording and has excellent coloring properties by incorporating at least one type of anilide derivative represented by a specific formula as a coupler in a thermal recording layer. SOLUTION: In the thermosensitive recording material having a thermal recording layer containing diazonium chloride compound and coupler for coloring in reaction at the time of heating on a support, at least one type of anilide derivative represented by a formula I is contained as the coupler. In the formula I, R<1> , R<3> are alkyl group or aryl group, R<2> is a group represented by a formula II or III, m is integer of 2 to 9, W is halogen atom or alkyl group, n is integer of 1 to 9, W is halogen atom or alkyl group, n is integer of 0 to 3, and in the formula II, R<4> , R<5> are substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, or the R<4> and R<5> are groups of a ring of 5 to 6 members coupled to one another, and in the formula III, R<6> and R<7> are alkyl group or aryl group. |
